Lightning is one of nature’s phenomena that is challenging to catch with a camera in a desired composition, even for a seasoned photographer. One of the hobbies of the artist M.Virsis is to capture the lightning strikes whenever a thunderstorm comes. He hopes to find the perfect composition of impressive lightning and scenery to die for. While the season for capturing the lightning strikes had ended for the winter months, an oil painting depicting an impressive scenery with a lightning as the crown jewel was created to immortalise the endless chase for the perfect lightning strike.

Painting has been featured in the travelling exhibition “Fragments of Imagination” parts in:
