At the beginning of 2023, M.Virsis attempted to create a more “classical” inspired portrait with acrylic paint. The outcome was rather bad. The painting was hidden away for many months. After roughly half a year, when the artist had switched mediums to oil, the painting was taken out again. He attempted to create something closer to the style initially aimed for and succeeded. 

This is an example of a painting that initially was not successful but then turned out better than anyone could hope for.
