Per definition found in Mariam-Webster dictionary, a nymph is “any of the minor divinities of nature in classical mythology represented as beautiful maidens dwelling in the mountains, forests, trees, and waters”.
In the painting “Water Nymph” the artist wanted to embody the very definition of the word, where the female figure is simultaneously realistic and dreamy, creating the divine feel of the painting. It is derived from the artist’s feeling of beauty, some scenes of magical movie screens and his muse – his wife.

Painting has been featured in the travelling exhibition “Fragments of Imagination” parts in:
- Ogre Kulturas Centrs (2026 March – April)
- Stāmerienas castle (2026 May – autumn)
